A collaboration between the 5th Avenue Theatre and the Seattle Police Department, the WEST SIDE STORY PROJECT used gang issues from the 50th anniversary production to educate today's youth. Over the course of three months, teens attended youth summits and worked with Seattle Police officers in role reversal situations to learn more about each other.

Through his agency, Craig Urquhart will be Senior Consultant, Public Relations and Promotion to The Leonard Bernstein Office. Urquhart will offer his expertise not only to The Leonard Bernstein Office, but also to conductors, composers, musicians and organizations worldwide. He will be based in New York and Berlin.

Naxos' recording of Bernstein's Mass has been nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Classical Album. Conducted by Marin Alsop and featuring Jubliant Sykes as the Celebrant.
