On August 27, The Schelswig Holstein Music Festival awarded the 10th annual Leonard Bernstein Award to violist David Aaron Carpenter. The 10000 Euro award is made possible by the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe. Alexander Bernstein was on hand to present the award at a gala concert featuring a performance of the NDR Symphony conducted byChristoph Eschenbach featuring a performance of Bartok’s Violaconcerto by award winner David Aaron Carpenter .
